The series finds that amid the great cultural and technological changes since the initial study, social and moral values and ideals in Muncie have remained virtually unchanged in over 50 years. Episodes examine: a mayoral campaign; a prominent high school basketball rivalry; local religious activities; the struggles of a large family in operating the local Shakey's pizza parlor; remarriage between divorcees; and the everyday lives of high school students.
